Overview

Since it was first designed and manufactured over twenty years ago, the Fuelcube has evolved through multiple versions, fitted with various fuel dispensing systems, but always with the same objective: to make refueling easier.

Jointly manufactured by expert fabricators and automated robot welding arms, Fuel Proof's signature Fuelcube tank is available with a hand pump, a 12/24V battery-powered pump or a 230V mains-powered pump.

Now, with a focus on making our customers' lives ever easier, we've developed our most user-friendly diesel tank yet. The self-powered, always-charging 12V Solar Fuelcube.

Product Development

With prior expertise in solar-powered fuel dispensing, in the form of solar panels fitted to our Fuelstore tanks, our in-house production team investigated a similar solar system to integrate into their bestselling Fuelcube design in 2023.

The Solar Fuelcube was prototyped in late 2023, incorporating new parts laser-cut and fabricated in-house by our Design and Manufacturing teams.

Solar charging during tests of the new design proved successful – with the tanks' full 900-litre contents able to be emptied twice per day over a 10-day period, using only the tank's own self-contained solar charge.

The Solar Fuelcube then entered full production in winter 2023, with identical models available both for sale and hire – and all of our new Hire fleet Fuelcubes converted to solar power as standard.

Trial Results

During trials we were able to empty the full contents of our 900-litre Solar Fuelcubes twice per day over a 10-day period – with zero need to charge the tank's 12V battery, even in the winter. Incredible results for such short days and limited sunlight!

Solar Charging

With fuel tank performance based on perfect solar conditions at 15 to 20 degrees celsius ambient temperature, the Fuel Proof Solar Fuelcube features a recharge time of 90 minutes for a full tank, a pump run time of 30 minutes, and takes 30 minutes to fully empty all 900 litres of fuel.

Designed and built by our team of in-house fuel storage experts and fuel tank designers, the Fuel Proof Solar Fuelcube includes a full set of standard fuel tank connections; integrated forklift pockets and galvanised lifting eyes for easy stacking and efficient transport; and a lockable tank lid complete with solar panel, highly secure internal hinges and gas-strut assisted opening for ease of use.
